12th International Conference "Methods of Absolute Chronology"

GENERAL INFORMATION

The Conference is multidisciplinary and will concern the following subjects:

  1. Methods of absolute chronology and their application in Quaternary geology.
  2. Methods of dating and creation of absolute time scales for paleoclimatic reconstructions.
  3. Isotopic and other methods in research of paleo- and modern environment.
  4. Methods and applications of dating archaeological objects.

The conference scientific programme includes plenary and poster sessions in all the above subjects, and panel discussions on topics proposed by the participants. Conference contributions

The contributors are asked to register and submit their abstracts in English before 1st of March 2016 on the website and to indicate preferred session and presentation form (oral/poster). In the case of a large number of oral presentations, some contributions may be moved to poster sessions upon the decision of the Scientific Committee.

There is a possibility to publish all presentations (oral and poster) in the open-access journal Geochronometria, following the regular reviewing procedure. We have a pleasure to inform you that selected manuscripts will be published without a fee.

Conference costs

The conference fee is 700 PLN. The fee covers coffee breaks, lunches, ice-breaker dinner (1st day of the conference), conference dinner (2nd day of the conference), transport by a special bus from and to Gliwice railway station, visit GADAM Centre laboratories and conference kit including a book of abstracts. The fee for students and accompanying persons is 550 PLN. There is also a possibility to reduce the fee by early registration and payment before 31st January 2016 (early registration fee 600 PLN, for students and accompanying persons - 450 PLN).

The conference will be held at the "Biały Dom" Hotel (Paniówki near Gliwice, Silesia region, Poland).

Participants should book their accommodation themselves and pay for it separately at the hotel. We expect the majority of participants to stay in the "Biały Dom" Hotel. Please contact personally with the hotel via e-mail (recepcja-paniowki@bialydom.com.pl) and use "MACh 2016" as a subject of the mail to receive a special price for the participants of our conference.
